Corene’s Surrogacy Story

Although this was Corene’s first time as a surrogate mom, she was very familiar with the process as she supported her wife, Rochelle, through her twin surrogate pregnancy until the cutie pie twin girls were born in March 2014. Rochelle returned the favor by standing by Corene’s side throughout her twin pregnancy resulting in the arrival of gorgeous twin boys!

We asked Corene for some words to describe her experience. She stated, “Witnessing a family being completed is incredibly rewarding and I so appreciated being able to experience surrogacy as a support person.Carrying twins for my couple was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life!”

Denice’s Surrogacy Story

March 27, 2015 was a whirlwind.  What started as a normal day, Denice went to her OB appointment and then to her surprise, she was admitted to the hospital a couple of hours later in full blown labor!  The new parents were not due to arrive for 5 more days.  But as quickly as they could, they arrived to California so they could be with their precious baby boy!!  Congratulations to everyone!

Marlene’s Surrogacy Story

Marlene has surprised us with her ability to see the bright side of everything.  She smiled all through her hospital bedrest and subsequent bedrest at home.  She kept saying that it was for a good cause.  Her amazing family were so supportive.  Truly there was a village helping bring this baby safely into the world.  Upon reaching 36 weeks of pregnancy, Dr. Stanco decided it was time for this baby to be born.  Mind you, that is one month early and the baby weighed 7lb 8oz!!!!

As most of you know, Marlene’s Couple did not want to know the sex of their baby until the birth.  So, I have to admit that although I complained more than once during the pregnancy that I wanted to know already, it was exciting and fun waiting for that moment of knowing what we got!!  So, no more waiting….It’s a Girl!!!   Congratulations Marlene and thank you, thank you for all of your efforts.  This little princess is here and doing so well because of your dedication.

Kayanne’s Surrogacy Story

Siblings are wonderful!!  Well, as we get older, they are more precious.  Maybe those early years are not so easy and wonderful.  But one day, Kayanne will be thanked not only by her Couple for bringing another daughter into their lives, but also by the sisters who now have each other.  January 12, 2015 was the day that the dreams of Kayanne’s Couple came true when their baby girl arrived weighing 7lb 14oz, completing their beautiful family.  Congratulations Kayanne for making such a difference in so many lives!!

Erica’s Surrogacy Story

Just getting home and settled after Marlene’s delivery in San Diego, I receive a text from Erica that reads, “Hey, how are you? Heading to the hospital because I think I’m in labor.”  “Ummmm, What?!” is my response.  LOL, well she was indeed in labor and when I say it was a labor and delivery made for TV, it is not even close to an exaggeration.  She literally pushed once, it may have been just a half push and the cutest baby girl arrived….before the doctor!  That’s right, Dr. Andersen walks in about 2 minutes later and has a very surprised look on his face.  One that matched the rest of our faces for sure!!  It was an unbelievable amazing experience. The early evening of April 24, 2015 marked the end of Erica’s surrogacy journey when she delivered a healthy baby girl weighing 7lb 4oz.  Congratulations Erica!!

Dr. Colleen McNally is Amazing!

Dr. Colleen McNally walked into the exam room where Vanessa and I were waiting and immediately said to me, “I know you! I delivered the biggest baby for a Couple in your Program. 12lb 3oz!” She has an amazing memory as that was in 1998! She shared how she believes that surrogate mothers are positively wonderful. I couldn’t agree more!! – Carol
