For many of you Mother’s Day is a time of happiness, flowers, and appreciation. Sadly, for some, it can be one of the most difficult days of the year. To the women facing infertility, families who have lost their mother, and to the mother that has lost her child…our hearts are with you every day but especially today. Today, we at Building Families, wrap you in our arms and express the most warmth we can.
Happy nurses appreciation week! These are just a few of the heroes watching over our precious babies. We are thankful for all of them, for their hard work, and their dedication!
Nancy shared her birth story with all of us at our monthly group gathering. She was happy to share that her surro baby, who was delivered prematurely, is gaining weight each week and continues to pass all tests with flying colors. Our monthly group meeting is a special time for all of our girls to share, listen, and support one another. We are so thankful for the outpour of love that comes from our group sessions!
Jamie is so proud of her surrogate belly! And we are proud to have her in our program! We are fortunate to have such amazing Surrogate Mothers that truly enjoy the journey they are on. We feel we are the lucky ones!
Meghan’s recent appointment took her to Orange County. Carol shared in the exciting moment when Dr. Bush with Magella Medical Group – Laguna Hills confirmed all is great with baby!!! And it is a boy!!!
Not what our Surrogate Mother, Laura and her Intended Parents were expecting to hear. As hopeful as we are, the truth of it, is that we can never know what the outcome will be. But what makes even the difficult times better for a Couple, is know that their Surrogate Mom, Laura, didn’t waver in her continued confidence and commitment to her couple. With determination like theirs, it will happen! Please keep sending those sticky thoughts to Laura and her couple as we prepare for round 2.

As the nurse exclaimed “it’s a girl”…there was not a dry eye in the room! Emotion filled us all as we witnessed her couple become “mom and dad”. Truly a beautiful moment for Christine and her couple. We are so proud of her; she’s a true super woman!
A great day was had at Glen Ivy. Our surrogate moms deserved a day of relaxation and Glen Ivy was the perfect place to do this. Not only did we all feel pampered but we bonded in new ways! What do you expect when you’re covered in mud together?! Needless to say, we can’t wait until the next get together with these fabulous ladies.
