Lauri-Anne’s Surrogacy Story

Lauri-Anne is a successful surrogate-AGAIN! On August 18, 2022 she made another couple’s dreams come true when together they welcomed a 10lbs 3oz baby boy. No folks, that is not a typo, Lauri-Anne’s surrobabe was over ten pounds! What a trooper she is!

The most amazing part about this journey for Lauri-Anne was the relationship she built with her Intended Parents. Her first journey featured an International couple, but this time they were local to her. Her IPs attended appointments and spent a lot of time with Lauri-Anne throughout her journey. She says for her, they really were a huge source of support in this pregnancy. How beautiful is that?

It’s really interesting as a surrogate, you are often asked about how you’re able to distance yourself from the baby once they are born. But like Lauri-Anne says, it’s really the couple that you miss the most! You miss talking to them regularly and sending them photos and pictures of your life and hearing about theirs. It’s not that it stops when the baby is born, it just changes.

We are so grateful to experience another surrogacy story with Lauri-Anne and she will always be a part of the BFI Family!

Baby!

BABY! It’s so amazing when it works out for a Gestational Carrier to help shower her Intended Parents. It is such a blessing to be able to meet the friends and family who are anxiously awaiting the baby’s arrival!

Rainbow Baby!

“Rainbows remind us that even after the darkest clouds, and the fiercest winds, there is still beauty.” – Katrina Mayer

We are IN LOVE with this gorgeous blanket that GC Mickayln handmade for her Intended Parents.

Baby Snuggles!

We love these updates! Such a sweet photo of Dr. Frederick and the little ones she helped create…we told you…baby snuggles really are the best part of the job!

Amy’s Surrogacy Story

Amy is officially a successful surrogate! Congratulations to her and her intended parents on the completion of a beautiful surrogacy journey. Throughout this journey, Amy has shown her strength and delivery day was no different. When her epidural did not work, she was able to push through (literally) and calmly deliver her surro-babe. Baby girl entered the world midmorning on June 20, 2022. She was a perfectly petite six pounds, five ounces and nineteen inches long. Her parents are in love and seeing them with her for the first time was the highlight of Amy’s journey.

We are in awe of Amy and are so thankful to have had a small part in building this family!

Surro-Sisters

“I was lucky enough to meet Jamie during my first surrogacy journey and I felt an instant connection to her. The BFI program really allows us GC’s to form a strong bond- I call the other ladies my ‘surro-sisters.’ When I found out that Jamie’s IP’s were staying in the same air bnb that mine had, I knew I wanted her to recreate this photo! What makes it extraordinary is that my IP’s and Jamie’s are actually friends and these little sisters born a year apart will get to grow up together!” GC Christine (pictured left)

Maricruz’s Surrogacy Story

Life is what happens when you’re busy making plans! Maricruz was settled in to rest for the last week of her sibling journey until her scheduled c-section, but the baby girl had other plans! In the early hours of June 18, 2022 she was surprised by her water breaking and she delivered just a few short hours later. Congratulations to Maricruz on becoming a successful surrogate! We are so proud of you and how wonderfully you handled every step of this journey.

Her intended parents are in awe of their precious baby girl and we are humbled to see their dreams come true!
